The upgrade from version 1.5 to 1.5.1 was a breeze.

The Changelog is there and upgrade instructions for upgrading wordpress 1.5 to 1.5.1 is there.
Apparently, this release has “a ton of bug fixes, enhancements, and an important security fix.”

Tip: Disable all plugins before upgrading. Not doing so might prevent you from accessing your admin page.

This was the quickest transfer ever.

Tip: Do regular backups of your website and download to your computer. Don’t forget the databases. (very important!)

I’m finding it hard to blog nowadays.
It’s not that I have nothing to write about. I do. I’ve been jotting down my thoughts in my school copybook which is almost always with me.
I just hope that my teacher won’t ever ask for my copybook to have a look at the homework. The copybook is filled with my thoughts. It would be embarassing. Moreover, I’m not ready to have anyone read that copybook. It contains my private thoughts… especially the not-so-happy ones. *sigh* I always feel better after writing.

My mid-term exams start tomorrow. I don’t really feel like studying nowadays.
I really should grab my books, sit down and study.

There’s also the HSK exams in May. I don’t have to take them this year.
All chinese language undergraduates have to get at least HSK level 6 after 2 years studying at university to be able to move up to 3rd year. The highest is HSK level 8 for our level. Then in the 3rd and 4th year, I’m supposed to sit for the advanced HSK exams.
Another classmate and I have decided to try taking the intermediate HSK exam this year. As ‘ben ke xue sheng’, we cannot take the beginner HSK exam. That’s what the teacher said. Still, it’s the same exam. It’s just that the levels required to achieve a pass is different. For the beginner HSK, I think level 3 is considered as passed. For the intermediate level HSK , it’s Level 6.
Right now, I’m just full of doubts.

I’m still waiting for the office to let me know where I’ll have to go for the exam. It should be either Fudan University or SISU. Both are close to Tongji University so it should be okay. So far, all I know is that it will be in the middle of May and on a Sunday.

I’m working on a layout . I removed Lovebug for the time being. I don’t know how long it will take me to make a new layout. I’m going to be quite busy with my exams. If only someone would make me a CSS layout. ^^

My mum has been nagging me about learning to cook ( i don’t like to cook!!!!) and I saw that Caroline’s blog is about recipes. Maybe I’ll try a few…. maybe.

Please note that my list above was created back in 2004 and that I haven’t updated it. I won’t be blogging about any new other Mauritian blogs that I come across. Since last year, the number of Mauritian bloggers has been slowly increasing and it is not possible to keep track of all of them.

I’m no longer hosted by Pinchpenny. I ran into a few problems with them at the beginning but later got almost no downtime. However, I was already set on moving so I moved. Btw, I learned about Froogle the other day. I never knew about it. James mentioned Froogle when I was chatting to him on msn and my reaction was like “Is that a real word”. :laughing:

I have just checked my Rastimer logs .80hrs internet in 20 days. :faint: I wasn’t even at home everyday so it’s about 80 hours in 16 days. That’s an average of 5 hours per day. I really need to avoid going online everyday. I’m on dial up for the time being. It’s funny how time flies when I’m online. I guess I’ll just try to busy myself until I leave Mauritius.
If i go online, it will be only for about 10 minutes per day ,at least until the 21st of this month.
Compared to other countries ADSL is still a bit expensive here. I heard that internet connection is very cheap in China.

I’ll be watching 粉红女郎 (Fen hong nu lang) and 还珠格格3 (Huan Zhu Ge Ge 3). About 50 episodes in all. They ought to keep me busy for a while.
I also need to work on a new website layout. I was too lazy to do a ‘proper’ one for sunnylynn.com . I keep telling myself that i will do it when i have time. Enough procrastinating. I will work on one soon,very soon.

My other domain www.a-l-i-n-e.com has already propagated to the new servers. Thanks to James for hosting me.
I will move my blog to www.a-l-i-n-e.com when i have time and use www.sunnylynn.com as a parked domain. This way people can access my website by going to any of those two domains.
www.sunnylynn.com will not work for one day when i modify the nameservers information in my sunnylynn.com domain management page. I still don’t know when I’ll be doing all this. I’ll keep everyone updated about this.

Annoying but my website was down quite a few times now. I have started to get used to those annoying problems. Hopefully in 2 weeks or so, I won’t get those problems anymore. I might move sunnylynn.com elsewhere…..
