Well, the First Nations, according to what I've been told, were from China who walked on iced land to get to Canada :-)

Not many Canadians are courageous enough to eat a fish served whole on a plate. Most restaurants will serve fish fillet.

@ Angele,
I am not very fond of crab dishes because just like you said, it is messy! haha. When we eat at home, it is still okay. :P We don’t have to worry about the mess we are making and no one else can see us making the mess. :P

@ Angele,
It was my first time eating that dish. haha. Not bad. I heard that it is sometimes called Oat prawn. The prawns are fried in a mixture that includes cereal flakes. (not cornflakes!)

Here’s a recipe that I’ve found online:
CEREAL PRAWNS

Ingredients:
600g prawns
1/2 pieces of butter
Minced garlic (about 2-3 cloves)
200 g of cereal (Nestle Cereal , not cornflakes)
1 chilli padi chopped
3-4 Curry leaves optional
1 tsp of sugar
Seasoning: 1 tsp of salt , 1/2 tsp of sugar, 1 tsp of sesame oil, Dash of pepper

Method:
Clean prawns, leave the shell on. Wipe dry and season in mixture of salt, pepper, a little sesame oil and a little sugar. Deep fry the prawn till 1/2 done , leave aside. In a wok, melt the butter and add in garlic , chilli padi and curry leaves. Fry till there is an aroma. Pour in the cereal and fry for a while. Add in sugar. Then mix in the prawn and fried for about 1-2 mins.
===========
I’m not sure if the recipe above is good or not. I’ve seen other recipes which require egg yolks.

I have a real problem when it comes to crab dishes. For me, eating crabs is a messy undertaking, so I always have plenty of napkins or paper towels with me :faint: Sometimes I'm too lazy to crack open the shell so I ask someone to do it for me and then I can enjoy the meat without undergoing all the messy procedures.
