June 19th, 2009Lunch at Margarita’s Bar
I met up with Diana and Bryan for lunch the other day.
We were going to eat at Café Cartel but then we saw this place called Margarita’s Bar.

It didn’t take us long to order our food. We all wanted to eat spare ribs. We chose the spare ribs set meal which was highly recommended on the menu.
The set meal consisted of spare ribs, coleslaw and fries and because it was before 3pm, we also got a free soup of the day, 1 scoop of ice cream and free flow of soft drinks.

The soup of the day was Celery and potato soup. Bryan and Diana told me that they don’t like celery.
I love celery!

500g of spare ribs! hehe.

I still managed to finish all my food. 500g was a bit too much for me. About 300g should be okay. The sauce on the spare ribs was a bit weird. A tad too sweet. I put tabasco all over my spare ribs and the taste was slightly better. Next time, I’ll be eating someting else.

We were all very full after eating the spare ribs but we still had room for some ice cream.

the chips look delicious !
I like celery too ! - celery & apple juice anyone ?
Quote?Yummy yummy!
Wow! Free soup, free soft drinks and free ice cream! That sure is rare in Mauritius. :S
Quote?I never order spare ribs when I go to restaurants. Too many bones for my taste
Quote? But I love celery! What’s with the soup? Some kind of flat bread?
I’ve never been to that place. Where is it? The spare ribs look good but I’d probably share it
Celery & Potato … good combination. I like celery too
