March 29th, 2009Happily Ever After
Like most people out there, I was reading fairy tales when I was young. Most of them ended with ‘…and they lived happily ever after…’ or something similar. My reading material changed a lot as I grew older but one thing remained the same: a happy ending. It’s the same when it comes to the movies and drama series that I watch. Most of them have happy endings. I love happy endings. Who doesn’t?
I would like to believe that ‘Happily ever after’ exists in real life but I know that it doesn’t.

of course it does !
you just haven’t gotten to that chapter yet !
Consider reading Politically Correct Bedtime Stories: Modern Tales for Our Life & Times by James Finn Garner. That one is a pretty realistic portrayal of the real world with lots of strange twists in the fairy tales stories
it takes lotsa time and energy to maintain that “happily ever after”!
most of the time, we are too bored to even bother!
lol…
nah, i’m kidding…
to the romantic in all of us: yes, YES!!! there is a “happily ever after”!!!
to the cynic in all of us: who cares! As the song said, It doesn’t make any difference!
It’s nice to be able to disconnect from real life and read about the ending you would like to happen. Life doesn’t usually give you a choice.
Ton gueter ban film “Saw”?? Pas vraiment happy ending ^^
if human doesn’t have any sins and self-ego, there’s happily ever after. we can’t acquire perfect happiness (since human is not perfect), nevertheless, we must pursue to achieve that.
Life does give you a choice. but, we are always forgetful that happiness does not come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have. so, as you can see, it’s just about your ego and how your mind surfs with the sea of life. it’s all starting with yourself.
I do know that there are quite number of people who live happily everyday (especially those who live in the village area) during my school retreat. you know the rationale right?
explaining it in here will fill up your blog. soon it’s no longer http://www.a-l-i-n-e.com but http://www.h-e-n-d-r-i-k.com hahaha…
just my 2 cents.
