Apart from the friends I live with, I rarely see other people unless there’s a special occasion like birthdays, Christmas, New Year etc. I’m busy during the week days and only free during the weekends. Soon, I might be busy during the weekends as well. :???:

During the weekend, I went out to meet an old friend of mine. We had dinner at Azabu Sabo (Marina Square).

I love Japanese food. :D

I chose the tempura bento. Yummy-looking right? It was good. I thought that it was just a little bit too oily. I had already finished eating the pickles when I took this photo. :P

Dessert was good too. Apparently this restaurant is quite famous for its desserts. I saw something called ‘hot balls’ as well as other unusual items on the menu but after 10 minutes of looking at the menu,I finally decided to order something more normal. We asked the waitress if it was possible for us to choose the ice cream flavors that we wanted but she said no. This one was chocolate, green tea and black sesame(it cannot be seen in this photo. It was under the chocolate ice cream). I love green tea ice cream! Black sesame ice cream probably sounds weird to many people but the taste was alright. I’ve eaten black sesame desserts in Shanghai before and I’m used to the black sesame taste.

I like this photo. My friend was trying to take a photo of me. The kid and the mother were already there but the cleaning lady suddenly appeared and started wiping. My friend had to zoom a bit before attempting to take my photo again.

Shah: thanks. :) I didn’t think that guys noticed things like hair. :P I don’t like my hair. Always wished that it was thick and very straight like most Asian girls.
oh… someone who likes green tea ice cream too! :flowers: hehe . Nopes. nothing on top.

The food looks incredibly yummy. :weeping: :weeping: I love tempuras, they’re so light and crispy.
I’ve never had green tea ice cream before, but I once ate a green tea creme brulee and it was great.

azuba shabo nt very nice one according to me. u shld try japan restaurant in the Central (Clarke Quay MRT). there’s one japanese restaurant located near the subway/burger king (i forgot) in the 1st floor. and both the ice cream is ambrosial! it seems the restaurant specializes in ice cream. the main course is also not bad! btw, best sushi is still poke sushi (in Indonesia =).

Zhu: I love it too! I’m thinking of buying a bento box now.

morinn: green tea creme brulee? I’d love to try that one day. I love green tea. :D

waz: You are vegetarian? You are the 3rd vegetarian I know.
I don’t know what the “hot balls” are. I haven’t tried them. I only saw some photos on the menu. Hot balls are desserts shaped like balls (size is smaller than a scoop of ice cream) and deep-fried. No idea what it tastes like. :p I’ll post photos if I go there again.

Hendrik: So far, I’ve only been to Sakae sushi, Sakura and Azuba Sabo in Singapore. When I was in Shanghai, I’ve been to Japanese restaurants and I love the food there. :D
‘Poke Sushi’ ? What a strange name. I’ll keep that in mind if ever I go to Indonesia. =)

??? You didn’t have a bento box in all this time??? *gasp*

Still, it’s good that you yourself one.

There is like a rule – once you have 1 bento box, you need to begin a collection. Have fun :) I look forward to see your various bento’s.
