December 29th, 2008First time at Hooters, Singapore
This is a part 2 to the entry ‘2nd time at Central,Clarke Quay’ but I hadn’t finished resizing the photos at that time and it was already around 7 a.m.
It has been more than a year since I had BBQ ribs. The last time was when I went back to Mauritius in July & August 2007. We went to Hooters the other day and I chose to have the BBQ ribs. Come to think of it, I don’t remember if they were any good. I was too happy because I was finally eating BBQ ribs again.
:cloud9:

BBQ Baby Back Ribs
I won’t be posting the photos of what the others ate but I want to mention the fried pickles even if the only photo we took of it is blurry. Lisa and I chose this dish. ![]()

On the menu, it was written: ‘Caution: Fried pickles are very very addictive’ . That’s true.
I felt like eating more and more.
We chose the deep-fried cheesecake as dessert. not bad.
I prefer normal cheesecakes but this one was good too.

Audrey posed with the deep-fried cheesecake but she didn’t eat hers. She says that she doesn’t like cheesecakes!
She’s the first person I know who doesn’t like cheesecake.

The guys had beers but we chose more.. erm.. ‘interesting’ drinks. ![]()

The drinks we had; from left to right, Hooty-Fruity, Hooters Sling, Hooty-Rita.
I made Hanssen pose with my drink. He was the only one wearing red. ![]()

We had nothing to do while the guys were talking among themselves.
:eureka: I decided to take photos of our legs and shoes.
I wasn’t wearing my shoes during dinner. Lisa caught my ankle when I was trying to take a photo of my legs.

Then I put on my new ballerina shoes which I had bought at Central a few hours ago. I like the shoes because they remind me of my dance days. They looks a bit greyish because of the flash.

Here’s the ‘Before’

… and ‘After’ pic.

I’m looking at the photos now and wondering why I took such photos.
Someone asked one of the waitresses to help us take this group pic.

The birthday boy and one of the Hooters girls.

Hooters girls, i.e the waitresses, wear a white tank top and short orange runner’s shorts as uniform. I didn’t think highly of Hooters when I first read about them years and years ago. That was mainly because of the clothes that the Hooters girls have to wear and also the fact that Hooters targets male customers. (The waitresses are all supposed to be well-endowed women. )
The difference between the American Hooters girls and Singaporean or Chinese Hooters girls is quite obvious. For those ignorant about Hooters, go to the main website hooters.com .
One random thought: What if there was a Hooters in Mauritius? I can just imagine the look on the men’s face. I wonder if any Mauritian girl would want to wear the Hooters waitress ‘uniform’ and have men staring at them. It will be like asking for trouble.

You didn’t do Hooters justice
Only one picture!?
Eddy.
lol. yes. Only one photo and it was not even a full-length photo.
I wasn’t interested in taking pictures of the waitresses. The food was more interesting.
So are the SG Hooters more busty or the ones by Pudong? I’m sure they’re better than the one in Shanghai.

Hanssen if you’re reading this, we’re at the top of the league, YEAH!
I love cheesecake. That’s how I started slowly but irreversibly gaining weight
Ladies and their shoes … No further comment
Hmm, been some time since I had BBQ ribs too
well, the main difference is that the chinese/singaporean girls r “cuter”!
@ Raymond,
noooooooooo. Go Arsenal ! You can do better than that.
The SG Hooters girls and the ones in Shanghai look about the same to me. (when it comes to their looks anderm.. bust)
Some of the Hooters girls in Singapore don’t look Singaporean. One of my friends was saying that one of the waitresses looks like she’s from mainland China. Maybe some of the Hooters girls are non-Singaporeans who are working there part-time.
lol . Well cheesecake is good but should not be eaten everyday.
@ waz,
lol yeah cuter maybe but not as ‘busty’ as the Americans. At least, that’s what I heard the guys say.
*shrug* I only care about the food.
cut-iness vs. bust-iness!?!
hmm…i’ll go for cute!
@ waz,
Nothing wrong with looking..
Really??
Wow,you went to hooters?Actually nowadays, not many singaporeans are willing to work in the service sector,so you get to see more of foreign people taking up those jobs instead.
The 2 photos showing your shoes… Strange that you choose to take them  But it is for good fun,i guess
lol…
yeah, yeah, i don’t mind looking!
but i still prefer cute…
wow…this one did not get moderated!
SPAM!!!!!
lol. You didn’t get moderated the 2 previous times. weird.
I bet the guys were happy!
I have never been to Hooters, even if the food looks okay… I´m not too comfortable with the concept.
@Raymond – “Ladies and their shoes…” Tell me about it. I’ve had to shoot, edit, and print pictures of 30-odd pairs of shoes for my other half to use in her (mind you, not “our”) wardrobe. I couldn’t help counting the Pounds Sterling spent on those as I set up each shot. Just the flat Nine West ballerina (or whatever you call it) [1] costs upwards of #55.00, and Faith shoes do not come cheap either.

Eddy.
Eddy, what about getting transparent shoe boxes for your wife?
Not sure if you get what I mean. I’ll post photos of my shoes soon.
ah.. they are called ballerina shoes or ballerina flats.
