I’m still waiting for my friends to mail me the pics taken during the school trip. Meanwhile, let me introduce my little darling to everyone.

She is Sushi (or Susie, according to Aki but I don’t like the name Susie much), my puppy since almost a month now. Well, she’s not really only mine. She’s also Desmond’s and Aki’s puppy. We aren’t sure how old she is but according to the vet, she is around 2 months old now. As for her name ,Sushi, it took us a long time to decide on it. She almost became ‘Oreo’. We might change her name again because she seems to respond more when called Oie or Baka (my Jap friends call her like that sometimes because she does stupid things). :| Erm… we’ll see.

We bought her near Qipu market from a woman who was selling about 6 other puppies. It is best not to buy animals from people selling on the roadside because those animals usually suffer from some kind of disease or are malnourished and will die soon. I know that from personal experience (my first hamster… ) but somehow, on that day I didn’t think about all that.
Deenoo, Desmond, Aki and I were out shopping that day. Aki and I were looking at boots inside the first building when Desmond phoned me. The guys were done with their shopping already. So fast. I hadn’t bought anything yet.The guys had seen a few cute puppies being sold outside and wanted us to go have a look. One thing led to another and we bought one of the puppies and took a taxi at once. We took her to the vet on the same day and it turned out that she was sick indeed. The veterinarian told us that the puppy would most likely die in about a week if shewasn’t treated and we had to choose if we’ll have her treated or not. Well, we couldn’t let the poor thing die. We agreed to have her undergo the treatment which lasted 8 days and cost us a bit more than 2000 yuan. *wince* We had to take turns looking after the puppy at the vet’s while she was being treated. (an average of 3-4 hours each time)
I had never been to the vet’s office before. It was an interesting experience. So many dogs and cats…and a pig too! This kind of pig is called 香猪(xiang zhu) in Chinese. I have no idea what the English name is. According to this, it was the most popular pet in 2005. (well only in China I guess……..) Desmond took this pic when it was his turn looking after the puppy at the vet’s.

She is a healthy little puppy now. I’ve always been a cat lover and dogs were not among my top 3 favorite animals. Now, I’ve changed my mind. She is such a darling.
We are currently ‘toilet-training’ her but we are having a lot trouble. :(
We used to worry a lot about her because she didn’t eat much but now she has a huge appetite. :faint: She loves yoghurt. If we go near the fridge, she’ll come running and just sit there, expecting us to give her yoghurt. We’ll be weighing her soon. She was 0.65kg before and the vet said that she was too small. Now, she’s definitely bigger.
