Me
I’m going to sleep in a few minutes or rather I’m going to try to sleep. I’m on hols right now and my irregular sleeping habit is back.
I’ve just watched the Arsenal v/s Bolton match, the whole thing, the whole 90 minutes plus the 4 minutes extra time (well ..actually, it was 4 mins and 20 something seconds).
That’s my first time watching a soccer match all alone! Me, a non-soccer fan watching soccer all alone? What was I thinking?
I usually only watch soccer when my bf is watching. He’s not even in Shanghai right now. He’s an Arsenal fan and always watches them play even if it’s very late here in Shanghai. When Arsenal scores, I get a big hug or a kiss. I love seeing him look so happy, so excited. On the other hand, if the other team scores, I have to be careful so as to avoid getting accidentally elbowed or something similar if I am too near him.
I hate to think that I might have been converted even if it’s a little bit so I’ll just consider today as an ‘exception’. I must have been really bored.
-edited to add-
I’ve just realized that sports websites are very quick to update. Only a few minutes after the match ended, I saw an article about the match along with a photo.
General
The meanest words I’ve heard this week are “What do you want?”,said in an exasperated tone. After more than two years together, I should have known that he’d react like that. Note to myself: Stay away from him and do not contact him at all when he is busy with his projects. The submission date is tomorrow.
I don’t plan on seeing or contacting him again, at least not until next Thursday when I finish my exams. Contrary to what he might think,I’m not doing that to get back at him. I have exams next week and I have only started revision yesterday. My turn to be super busy now…
On a happier note, I’ll be officially on hols as from next Thursday 11:30 a.m, after I’m done with my last exam of the semester. The second semester will start in March. I’m not sure of the exact date yet but we’ll have longer hols this year, 1 1/2 months instead of just one month.
…btw……..thanks to everyone for the New Year wishes.
food, photos
I went to Emart supermarket the other day and saw packets of Barilla pasta. I put a few packets of macaroni in the trolley as well as what I thought to be two packets of spaghetti. Des cooked today and it turns out that I had bought bavette instead of spaghetti. arghh. How careless of me!
Bavette is similar to tagliatelle but is narrower.
ta daaa! Photo of the vegetarian pasta that Des cooked:

I love seeing Des in the kitchen, chopping up the vegetables. He’s fast. I must work on my chopping skills.
I got yelled at by Des in the past because I don’t hold the knife and position my hand like it should be done. I don’t remember if it was that time of the month or not but that day, I felt ‘bullied’ and even cried. lol
It takes a long time to change old habits. I always cut vegetables slowly because I’m scared of cutting my fingers by mistake. Apparently, there’s a way to hold the knife and position the fingers so as to prevent the fingers from getting cut and still be able to cut vegetables quickly. Des taught me already but I just can’t do it. I’m such a bad student.
