December 29th, 2005New Year’s show organized by the Chinese
Around 14 people from our faculty got to attend this special New Year’s show in our university.
The show wasn’t very nice. We were sitting too far from the stage and people all around us kept talking and not listening to the speech ,etc. I was thinking “poor guy, he went to all this trouble to prepare his speech and no one is listening” .
After the speech, some people performed ; singing, dancing and also what seemed to be a short pantomime.
A few pics:

the flowers, fruits and snacks which were on every table

(Kyle, if you are reading this, close the window right now. Please don’t make me eat old dumplings… lol … I love taking pics of food.
)
Everyone got a small box of cakes (from Croissants de France) when we were leaving the building after the show. Yummy. ![]()

(Note: I was asked what I did for Christmas. I’ll post the pics soon. There are so many pics and I need to resize them. Christmas was great.
)

hi i’m laure marday i used 2 live in beaubassin in mauritius.but my family still...
See, you worried too much.

Aline, you always post pictures of delicious food. Every time I visit your site, I gotta prepare some napkins just in case I drool.
First, it always seems to be the same thing with speeches here, I don’t know what causes people to become so… 不礼貌. I’ve seen this at English speech competitions. Why did people come, if they were not there to listen to speeches?
Now… as for the pictures of food/old dumplings:
We are having a wonderful New Years party in about 10 minutes. Guess what we will be eating.
(I’ll save you some and send it to you Aline. I’m sure they will be OLD by the time they get there.)
Just in case you were wondering, Aline…
My post to you.
She should make a food blog.

wishing you a wonderful new year girl! hugs
Akot Aline ek se ti jupette sega?!
Oooh a huge box of cakes!! So cool.
I really pity ppl who are invited to ‘talk’ and no one listens to them. Honestly speaking, I don’t know what that feels like *luckily*, never given a boring speech before I guess? lol the cockiness…
Happy New Year to you too!
Happy New Year!
Yes, there are a lot of nice food pictures. What kind of camera do you have and do you have a close up function? I always have focusing problems so end up having to take it 2~3 times to get it right.
Xuan,
Many digital camera’s have a “Macro” function. Some have automatic and/or manual focus. Check your manual to see if yours has one.
I have a Canon A75 (Starting to get “old”), and it has several functions. I found it to be the best for the price (at the time). I got mine for about 2,000RMB. You can find pleanty of cameras cheaper now.
Whoa, the stage is really so far away! I could barely see it in the pictures. Ah, well. At least you enjoyed the food! (:
During performances, there will always be some inconsiderate people who disrupt the moment for others. It was very common in my previous school. Even during lectures. Everyone will be talking while the teacher is speaking.
Kung shee fat choy!!
Wassup friend??
Your blog is really cool!
