July 21st, 2005wah.. I hate horror movies
Caught on camera… I knew that Cheen was taking our pic but still, I didn’t move or rather I couldn’t . Someone was being killed at that time in the movie. ![]()

I just hate horror movies. I never willingly watch horror movies. I did, once many years ago, and I had nightmares for days. I know that they are only movies but still, I get nightmares.
If it wasn’t for Chenyi, I wouldn’t even have sat down on that couch. She loves watching horror movies but prefers to have people with her. Poor me huh?
Deejay had watched the movie already but he still sat there with us. Deejay, please, no more horror movies! wah.. I will bring my chinese dvds next time.
So I sat there and watched, covered my eyes with my hands, peeked at the TV screen from time to time and of course the whole time I could hear the eerie music or the screams. I could have just covered my eyes but curiousity got the better of me. It was a Japanese horror movie, something about receiving a message on mobile phones from one’s own number. The date and time of the message meant the date and time the person would die. The way the persons died were horrible… Arms, head twisted off from the body .. wah .. I’d rather not think about it.
There’s no way I’ll be forced to watch horror movies again, esp. the Japanese ones.

Japanese horror movies are sometimes a little bit disgusting and definately not for the faint of heart. My favorite horror movies are the Silence of the Lamp series.
Now I know you don’t like watching horror movies.*Brings horror shows DVDs and VCDs*
A Japanese horror show is it which can make you cover your eyes?
Heh,these shows are usually quite scary to watch at late night
I have to find this horror movie to watch for my one week term break, hehe
Teehee. I will look like that too should I ever watch a horror movie. I haven’t watched such a movie before. Even the advertisements for these movies creep me out. :X
I think the show is called One Miss Call? I watched it in the cinema with my brother (he deals with movies) alone. It was SERIOUSLY terrifying. I won’t even let him go to the toilet. Haha. It was really funny now that I think of it.
hi-5! I’m also one who dun like or scare (covering my eyes just like u) while watching horror movies.. i would never watch it alone & i dare not even switch off the tv when the show starts or has started because i’m afraid the tv button will be spoilt or the tv will suddenly on itself.. and it haunts me for a day or two.. haha
I love horror movies!!!!!! Actually it’s the sounds make be jump sometimes.
Those horror movies that scares you by using sudden sounds, or timings are so low class = mostly Hollywood’s horror films ZZZzzz
Japanese ones are good. Like ‘Juon’, The Ring(Jap) the remake of it sux… these really leaves you scared after the movie. When you are alone… when the phone rings
… wahahaha!
The really scary ones are those which use plot/story/setting.
I love horror movies
watched The Ring with a couple of friends 2 days ago and we laughed all the way to the end… stupid!
and ditto wil@theblackjournal
For me, horror movies are meant to enjoy with others. The fun is when you feel the fear together with your mates. Try watching some of these J-horror movies alone.
The Grudge (Ju-On) is quite freaky. Watched it on me own and the image of the possessed kid just sticks in me mind …
… I don’t mind psychos or whatever but innocent-looking kids being killers is quite something
The Grudge wasnt that scary, except the part where the jap maid went back to her work place and when she turned around to look at her boss
the old american lady was kinda freaky – i wonder why they didnt kill her at first. Hey check The Ring out, you’ll like it
:worried: I used to be so afraid of horror movies myself. I had to teach myself to no longer be afraid.
I understand your fear.
Have a good week sweetie. *hugs*
Ha!
Same boat Aline. I am a man, but those damned movies make my life miserable. Nightmares and you know what, sometimes silent noises. Or I see my face in the mirror and sometimes without looking at the mirror, feel that the my reflection is a monster!
I stopped watching horror-and violent- movies in 2004. Enough is enough.
Btw, I am trying to study Chinese.. Is it worth it? I mean the HSK thing. 1.4 billion Mandarin speakers, hardly think we get a chance to compete for jobs that the are up for mainland grabs.
The greatest dismotivator for me is the teaching methodology of Chinese teachers. Don’t ask, I have seen classes half-asleep in my previous workplaces.. Do they really impart with knowledge and make you LEARN, RETAIN and APPLY? Or is it the classic read from book, write on board and give homework scenario?
Just curious about Tongji.
