As mentioned in my previous entry , I had stayed in Guangzhou for 3 days during my hols.
It was my first time travelling to another city in mainland China. The departure hall for inland flights was a bit different from that for international flights. I can’t really describe it but still, I remember that the departure hall for international flights was way nicer.

Departure hall for inland flights:
Shanghai Pudong Airport inland flight departure hall

Shanghai Pudong Airport inland flight departure hall

I thought that we’d be having dinner on the plane but unfortunately we only got drinks and these:
SH to GZ airplane food

I guess it was because we boarded the plane at 8 p.m and most of those chinese people already had dinner. I keep forgetting that in China they usually have dinner at about 5:30 p.m. :???:
I’m used to having dinner at about 8 p.m. That was in Mauritius. In Shanghai, I usually have dinner as from 7 p.m . 5:30 p.m is too early for me.

Tired and hungry when I reached Guangzhou, I didn’t bother taking pics of the new airport.
It sure looked lovely at night. :)

    Hi Aline!
I’m glad to see you back =)

Dinner is take at 5:30 p.m. in China? wow, in France it’s around 8:30 … and in spain it’s not rare to have dinner at 10 p.m. (but lunch is served around 4 p.m.)

anyway, I hope your trip went well!

Hi Aline, haha, yeah in Australia we normally have dinner about 6pm, when I go to Mauritius I’m usually starving by the time they have their dinner, the first time I was there it was quite a shock! By the way, I’m going there on March 22nd for 6 weeks – (you may remember I’ve written previously, my girlfriend lives in Ste Croix) Can’t wait to be back there :)
