Today I attended my second HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) class. It’s an optional class. I am always free in the afternoon but calligraphy and Tai ji quan don’t interest me so I opted for the HSK class.
I’m probably going to learn the same things in class next year but it’s alright. It doesn’t hurt to learn more. It’s only once per week and until December. =shrugs=

Here is a photo of the first 2 parcels I’ve received here!

My first two parcels

It’s quite a coincidence that I got them on the same day given that they were sent from different countries and a week apart.
I got a phone call telling me that I got a package and that I should go fetch it. I assumed that I had to fetch it in the room near the lift in Building 1 so I went directly there. Indeed, there was my name on the list stuck to the door. I got the parcel; the cds my sister sent me. I didn’t have time to backup my files before I left Mauritius and therefore my sister sent them to me. :flowers:

At night, right before dinner, I walked by the reception & information desk in Building 1 and a lady saw me. She asked me if i’m Huang fengling (my chinese name). I said yes and she told me that there’s a package for me. I told her that I already fetched it earlier but she insisted that I didn’t and went to fetch it. Hence the 2nd parcel.
I was quite surprised. I guess the parcel was at the reception desk because it was a bigger one. I wonder how the lady knows who I am. My friend was with me but the lady talked to me. I wonder how they keep track of who is who when there are so many new students every year. :???:
Even the lady in the Teaching Administration Office knows me. I went there to give her 8 passport-sized photos (I have no idea why they need those photos) and I didn’t even have to tell her my name. She already knew.

oh..and the 2nd package contained three books!
I was on my way to the the school canteen and I opened the box there. I must have looked silly taking those big books out of the box and beaming. I miss reading English books and I’ve been wanting to read those php books since ages.
Thanks (again!) for the books!
